Career day at Swiss Steel Group in Witten

June 1, 2023, Witten - Further training is the bread with which to strengthen a career. To this end, Swiss Steel Group offers an intensive program at its plants in Witten, in the so-called career workshop. It's called the Career Workshop and is for prospective managers or employees who already have initial management responsibility. This program enables them to qualify for more advanced tasks.

The pilot project for this training complex will end on June 1, 2023 after 15 months.

14 participants completed the program on a part-time basis and gained extensive additional knowledge for their future tasks. The curriculum ranged from corporate and personnel organization, labor law, leadership theory and self- and stress management to project management, communication and interviewing skills, project management and training in personal presentation.

Completing such an extensive program over 15 months also means giving great personal importance to further training and concentrating completely on it. There is not much room for general leisure activities. All the more reason to recognize the achievements of the graduates.

Personnel development is a top priority at Swiss Steel Group. "The success of a company still lies in the hands of the people who make up a company, shape it and lead it to success through their personal commitment with the help of their employees," says Frank Koch, CEO of Swiss Steel Group.

Dr. Lutz Ernenputsch, Managing Director of Deutsche Edelstahlwerke, once again emphasized on site the special importance that further training has in today's world. "Job profiles are subject to constant change and only through permanent training can you do justice to this situation." Dr. Lutz Ernenputsch was very keen to meet each of the young executives personally, and to attend the presentation of certificates and certificates of participation.

The Career Forge pilot project will now be evaluated and a decision made on its continuation.
